Help your child achieve
this academic year
Dyslexic teenagers have often spent years in an education system that doesn’t teach the way they learn. Resulting in students wrongly believing they are stupid.
As a result, it is easy for them to have pitifully low expectations of what they can achieve in formal exams.
Learn from my experience
When my eldest child Amelia was in Year 9 (14 years old), we assumed she would need to choose a less academic route in life. Amelia found school hard so we were keen not to put any additional pressure on her to achieve good grades.
Two years later, Amelia amazed us with her fantastic GCSE results and was accepted on her school’s competitive Oxbridge program.
How did she turn things around in such a brief time?
Amelia learned to use technologies and strategies which helped her boost her results. Each improved grade increased her confidence and self-belief, motivating her to try even harder. It became a victorious cycle. By the time she took her GCSE’s, she had figured out she was not stupid, but simply learned differently.
Since then, Amelia has gone from strength to strength, she is now on track for a first-class honours degree and will likely go on to study for a Masters. Not at all what we expected six years ago.
Motivated to help others
After helping my own three dyslexic children go from failing to excelling, I felt compelled to pass on what worked to other families.
Since starting Achieve Now, I’ve had the privilege to work with hundreds of bright capable students, most of whom learn differently.
Experience has taught me that for non-neuro typical learners to achieve their potential, they need:
1. TECHNOLOGICAL LEARNING TOOLS
I was amazed and delighted when I discovered how transformational learning technology could be for my dyslexic children.
Click here to see an overview of how technology can aid learning. However, If students cannot type, they cannot make the most of these transformative (and often free) learning tools. As a result, for years I have taught all my students to type.
2. EFFECTIVE PARENTAL SUPPORT
The education system is not designed to meet a dyslexic child’s learning needs, so parents need to offer more support at home.
Over the years I have worked hard to figure out how best to transfer knowledge to both parents & students.
Touch Typing & Technology for Academic Success Remote Course
I designed the Touch Typing & Technology for Academic Success Remote course to set students up for success. It not only equips dyslexics (well, all learners!!) to achieve, it increases confidence and aspiration levels.
After teaching students to touch type for many years, I am now convinced that this is the most cost-effective and efficient way of acquiring the skill. It is NOT a typical typing course. Find out more by clicking here
Our goal is to help students become proficient typists in one school holiday. We believe this is the only typing course parents will ever have to purchase.
THIS COURSE REALLY DOES HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO
CHANGE A CHILD’S LIFE
What parents say about the course
These Google review show how the course has helped two different students recently.
Many more 5 start Google reviews can be found by clicking here.
If you are still unsure why not take a look at the many positive comments our students, and their typing progress results.
Summer 2021 Dates
There are three different opportunities to book a course this summer. But hurry they will sell out soon.
Don't go another school year without this vital skill
Please be aware that:
There is no other course like it that gets impressive results so quickly and cost-effectively.
The next opportunity for students under 12, will be Easter 2022 at the earliest.
(I run shorter courses throughout the year for teens who can pick up touch typing quicker.
Younger children benefit from having a long school vacation to embed muscle memory, without term time commitments.)
