Who should attend?
Workshops are suitable for anyone interested in supporting learners with SpLD, including parents, teachers, tutors, adult dyslexics and older children (14 years plus).
Where & when are they held?
Workshops are often requested and organised by a specific organisation. These include:
Regional parent support groups (evenings and Saturday mornings)
Employers (usually lunch time sessions)
Schools (sessions for parents, teachers and sometimes students, held in the evenings or during a school day).
When interested parents and teachers learn together, it engenders a productive collaboration between home and school that benefits all.
This allows the content to be tailored to meet specific needs.
Have you had a talk at your school or workplace yet?
It only needs a few parents to ask and get the school or employer into action!
