Touch Typing & Technology
for Academic Success

This unique remote training initiative teaches all the vital skills required to set dyslexic learners up for academic success.

It introduces students to technology to aid learning and teaches the touch-typing skills necessary to access them, plus it helps parents support learners at home.

Caroline Bateman designed this course after helping many students achieve more academically using technology and proven learning strategies.

There is a vast range of technology available to aid learning and improve grades. Most importantly, these tools give students self-confidence, something that dyslexic learners often lack.

February Half-term
Course Schedule

Timetable

Given the many parts of the course, Below is a listing of WHEN students and parents need to be available.

Parents

Parents (of less mature students) are required to attend a webinar on the 9th to ensure everything is set up to work when the course starts.

We are limited in how much we can help with setup issues once the course has started.

All other Parent webinars are recorded to be watched at your convenience.

Students

Students must be available for the majority of the supervised course as this is when we build muscle memory and intrinsic motivation.

  • Saturday 12th February 9.30am-12.45pm

  • Sunday 13th February 9.30am-12.45pm

  • Monday 14th February 9.30am-12.45pm

  • Tuesday 15th February 9.30am - 12.45pm

The distance learning section is far more flexible.

Over this period students improve speed & accuracy while learning how to use technology to write essays and take notes

It is not vital that students attend all the catch up webinar but those that attend them all tend to make the most progress.

It is essential that students commit to daily practice every day of the school holiday.

Independent learning any time in the day plus 6pm-7pm Daily Progress Webinar

  • Sunday 20th February - Independent learning any time 6pm-7.30pm Final Progress Webinar & Course Prizes
